Haunted Mansion Halloween Party

And my next party feature goes to this spooky HAUNTED MANSION HALLOWEEN PARTY submitted by Danielle Arcese of Cutie Putti Paperie. Danielle threw this party for a 10th birthday- Halloween style! I bet all the guests had a blast! I just love all the food with the appropriate halloween themed labels. So much detail went into this celebration!

Here is what Danielle said about the party- "I created a spooktackular Haunted Mansion printable party collection this year for Halloween, that is now available in my Etsy shop. I had a friend when I was growing up who had her birthday around Halloween, and she always had a halloween themed party. She hated it, but I thought it was amazing! What could be better them a costume party birthday, and even more fun to set the scene by transforming your home into the infamous Haunted Mansion!

I used gothic style text on an antiqued paper background for all of the paper goods. Spooky bats, skulls, and spiders adorn the items as well.

For the table I was able to find great items in my local Home Goods and Michael's craft stores to set the mood.
Food Items:
Tombstone Brownies- I found a super cute skeleton parts chocolate mold at Michaels. Bake and cut brownies into squares, chocolate frosted the tops and added brownie crumble to look like dirt. Lastly I bought white chocolate melts to make the skeletons and added them to the top.

Chocolate Coffins-
Again I found a chocolate coffin mold at Michaels, and used dark chocolate melts to make them. The molds are super easy to use. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler and pour into mold. After 15min in the fridge they are ready, and they pop out of the mold easily. I added a collection of white chocolate skeleton bones to each one, and lined them up in a rectangular vintage mirrored glass dish lined with crumbled brownies to look like dirt.
Bat Juice- Green Powerade with a little added green food coloring to darken the juice.
Wax Vampire fangs- were found at my local grocery store displayed on metal skeleton arms serving spoons (Homegoods)
Skeleton Fingers- This mold was also found at Michaels. The mold is specifically made for pretzel rods. Fill mold with white chocolate and insert pretzel rods before cooling in the fridge.

The cracked mirror pedestals I used for the cupcakes were candle holders found at Michaels.

I snagged a super cool scary hologram portrait at Home Goods. At one angle its a creepy old man face, and from another it transforms to a skeleton. Great for setting the mood, looks like it came right off the walls of a true haunted mansion.

For the final touches I created POISON chocolate bar wrappers, for goulish girls and boys to take home with them. The back reads "You survived the Haunted Mansion" with a warning that reads "May contain bat parts".

The thank you cards read "Thank you! Beware of hitchhiking ghosts that may have followed you home!!" One of my favorite tag lines from the original Haunted Mansion ride at Disney.

Witches O Ween Halloween Party

And my next haunt-oriffic feature goes to this WITCHES O WEEN HALLOWEEN PARTY submitted by Maylene Urquiola of Malu Boutiques. Such a fun set up! I love the purple, green & yellow! The witch items & decor everywhere couldn't be cuter!

Here is what Malu said about the party- "We wanted This Halloween to have a "Witches O Ween" feel. Our main colors were purple, black, and yellow. We used my daughter's mannequin to dress her up as a witch as well as buying masquerade masks and adding witches hats to the back drop. We love witches and thought it would be a cute to have a Witches O Ween Shoot. All paper goods were designed by me, Malu Boutiques except for the cookies, which were designed by Dainty Delights. All images were captured by Santy Martinez."

Halloween BOOfast {Breakfast} Party!

And up next...a super cute HALLOWEEN BOOfast CELEBRATION submitted by Sarah Young

of Sheek Shindigs. Because breakfast is a favorite at Sarah's house, she has the tendency of styling breakfast themed tables in place of the popular dessert tables on occasion. SO cute & clever! Sarah liked the idea of a Halloween BOOfast Celebration because it allows guests to celebrate Halloween and the autumn season without the focus being on candy.

Here is what Sarah said about the party- "I wanted to make the Halloween BOOfast table simple and easy to re-create, healthy enough to satisfy my fellow moms, and appealing to even the littlest party guest. This breakfast themed table would be perfect for a Halloween party, playdate/playgroup celebration, or even to surprise your little ones on Halloween morning.

The BOOfast menu included pumpkin muffins, a variety of cereals, yogurt parfaits with various topping choices, and milk. Everything was "dressed-up" so that the kids wouldn't even notice that the candy and sweets were missing.

It's amazing how a little wrapper and cupcake topper can transform a muffin! The kids won't even notice that the extra sugar or icing is missing from these pumpkin muffins.

I found these adorable mini tins a few years ago in the Target Dollar Spot and I have gotten so much use out of them. I decided that they would be perfect for getting the kids excited about having a bowl of cereal. Don't be fooled...these cereal choices are healthy and light on sugar content as well (Fiber One, Whole Wheat Chex, and Gorilla Munch). Just don't tell the kids!

Milk in a plain glass just won't do for this celebration. Instead, I transformed empty jars into a Ghostly Glass of Milk! My kids LOVED these and they are so incredibly easy to make.

I used small, paper-wrapped canning jars to serve yogurt & fruit cups while the ceramic pumpkin containers held granola, dried fruit, slivered almonds, and other topping choices for the guests to choose from.

To dress up the serving table, I covered two lamp shades with black card stock and added some buntings for fun. This is an inexpensive way to temporarily transform an item that you already have at home (in this case, a lamp) to add to your table's decor and the overall presentation. I also made some paper rosettes and used a few Halloween decorations that I had at home (the cute witch and the spiders on each end) to finish things off.

I hope that this BOOfast Table inspires others to start their day off with a little Halloween Celebration!"

And next up- a darling PUMPKIN PATCH 1ST BIRTHDAY PARTY by Kami Buchanan of Kami Buchanan Custom Designs. Oh me, oh my...how cute is this?! A perfect theme for a fall birthday. 

This beautiful little girl has had several health problems over her first year of life so the Mom and Dad wanted to have a party they could enjoy with their family and not have to worry about doing a lot of work. That is why they hired Kami, as well as a photographer. **Great update since the party, Reide has been weened off her feeding tube and is eating like a big girl and holding her weight! Prayers have been answered!
