And the next wonderful
Sesame Street Birthday Party
Holly did such a GREAT job!
I just love the invitation and ribbon backdrop behind the dessert table.
Check out those cute Sesame Street Play dough favors, too!
In Holly's words..."While the theme for this party was sesame street, I wanted to stay away from making it too cheesy with characters everywhere. I tried instead to focus on the color scheme, which was red, yellow, green, and blue. All of the food was inspired from sesame street; pizza (elmo's favorite food), fruit, Dorothy's goldfish, Cookie Monster's monster cookies, snuffle's truffle's, chocolate milk, cake pops, and character cupcakes. I wanted something fun and colorful for the wall behind the food table, so I tied multiple pieces of ribbon to a wooden dowel and used 3M hooks to hang it from the ceiling. I made the lamp post sign from wooden pieces I found at Michaels craft store. I also wrapped some empty boxes with colorfulwrapping paper to add some height to the table, and found the great red cake plates at Home Goods.
I bought a goldfish to set out and told all the kids that Elmo's goldfish, Dorothy, had come to visit. They all loved him and were excited to say hi. I bought some vintage sesame street books from a local thrift store and cut out some pictures to frame for the activity stations, and to make the thank you tags. I found some vintage puzzles on amazon and had a puzzle station where kids could put the puzzles together and then make their own with blank puzzles that I found at a local craft store.
The favors were little plastic jars filled with play dough that I found on esty. I also filled cellophane bags with organic popcorn for the adults."
