Kara's Party Ideas- The Book (Sneak Peek)

We've been super busy over here at Kara's Party Ideas getting all the book shoots wrapped up and finished. The final parties for the book are being photographed in the next two weeks! I am beyond ecstatic for it all to come together! It's been a TON of work, and will definitely continue to be...but it has been so much fun and a dream come true.

Here are a couple photos from the book for you! The photos were taken by the talented Valerie Hart of Valerie Hart Photography. She's been absolutely wonderful to work with and has an amazing eye for detail.

I just have to say that I have the GREATEST husband, family, friends, assistants and photographers. I could not do this with out them, that's for certain. They have been my backbone and support system throughout the countless hours and hours and hours of work.

Stay tuned for more updates and sneak peeks into the upcoming 'Kara's Party Ideas' book, scheduled to hit shelves this October!

YES, it's true! If you didn't hear on Facebook a couple week's ago, I have officially signed a book deal!! I'm SO very excited! I still just can't believe it. I've been dreaming up, working up, and envisioning this book for a very. long. time.

My publishing company is Cedar Fort Books. They are absolutely wonderful and have been so great to work with. Lately I have been devoting almost every waking hour to this precious project, and a lot more work is ahead of me this next month as we finish up all the photo shoots. It's so much fun, though. I feel so very blessed.

Kara's Party Ideas {the book} is scheduled to hit shelves in October of this year! It's going to be chuck full of never-before-seen parties, tons of inspiration, beautiful photographs, DIY instructions, party printables and more!

I want to personally thank all of you for your support and kind words. Because of each and every one of you my dream is becoming a reality. I can't thank my wonderful fans enough.

Stay tuned for more book news and sneak peeks! Ahhhhh!

Sweet Shoppe Candy Party

I have a lot of exciting things to announce. The first being that Zurchers Party and Wedding Supplies contacted me a few months ago and hired me as their new in-store party designer. It's been a lot of fun! I am now able to show you the first of many parties I'm styling for them. This SWEET SHOPPE CANDY PARTY was a blast to design and execute. I just love all the colors...and SUGAR!

Most everything you see throughout this party is from Zurchers, including the adorable apothecary jars. Often, the right candy can be so hard to find, but with the huge selection at Zurchers you don't have to search and search through hundreds of online shops.

My favorite things about this party-- the ric rac / paper and candy necklace bunting, the milk bottles, the bubble gum machine drink dispenser {took the top off my gumball machine and replaced it with a beverage dispenser}, the various lollipops, the pink sixlets, the paper straws, the funky ribbon on the candy scoops and favor pails, the chocolate dipped candy sticks and the chevron bags. Of course, the rock candy cake is also so fun! It was inspired by this cake from Cocoa and Fig. The amazing Kim Stoegbauer from The Tomkat Studio, also used a similar cake here.

A huge thank you to my party design assistant, Brynne. I couldn't do any of this without the help of you and Amber!

Ice Cream Social

So excited about finally posting the ICE CREAM & CHERRIES PARTY I styled a few weeks ago. This party has been long in the making. I randomly found a vintage Ice Cream Truck for sale months and months ago. She was old and needed a lot of work, but, I bought her anyway. I couldn't pass her up. I envisioned the cutest party at her side. After a few months of scrubbing, cleaning and painting she became new again. Isn't she adorable? I just love her.

Kori Clark of Paper & Pigtails designed the cutest ice cream printables for the party {exclusively for Kara's Party Ideas} which I am now passing along to you for FREE here!

Vinyl ice cream decal purchased from Tweet Heart Wall Art.
